Finance Systems Analyst

The opportunity
We're looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our Global Finance Systems Team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Global Finance Systems Manager, you'll be responsible for the support , enhancement and maintenance of systems and processes in order to support the wider Finance community achieve their objectives. You'll be working closely with our actuarial reserving team and finance regulatory reporting team.
Other responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction, guidance and definition of business architecture
- Support the design of process and technology solutions
- Drive the focus on root cause analysis on issues and opportunities
- Drive the continuous improvement and development of processes and systems across finance and accounting
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Department and wider local and Global functions
- Undertake investigations into complex problems and business change in order to asses risk and ensure delivery of projects/programmes
- Drive the design and implementation and/or support of technology and business architectures, spanning small IT projects to large scale enterprise change programmes
- Provide the business technical conscious, defining and driving the right solution to meet the technical performance, scalability, flexibility, operation and capability needs
- Support the business and key stakeholders in the review and endorsement of proposed solutions / recommendations
About You
We would love to hear from you should you have background within the financial services and have an experience of using SQL (SSMS, SSIS), Excel (VBA, Power Query) and Power BI.
Other skills you'll need:
- Experience and understanding of the project lifecycle and process methodologies
- Product knowledge and understanding of financial processes and systems
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation & negotiation skills
- Experience of partnering with internal and external customers
- Experience of offering insightful commentary and advice both to the business and peers and team member
- Effective time management skills
- Understanding or exposure to TM1 (IBM Cognos) is advantageous
