Our client is an established market leader in its field within the Bus, Coach and Rail industries. Following an increase in business, a new and exciting position has arisen within our Fleet Department for a Senior Fleet Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the Fleet Manager.

Salary: £45,000 per annum, negotiable with experience.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 41.25 hours per week

The ideal candidate must have fleet experience in dealing with light commercial vans and cars for a fleet size of over 200 vehicles and be able to demonstrate a proven track record and experience. You will be commercially astute, able to negotiate well and communicate at all levels. You will have strong IT skills, have change management experience and be able to demonstrate how to drive improvements in both compliance and costs.

Job Description but not limited to:

  • Working closely with senior management to develop strategies for improved cost efficiency.
  • Ensuring that the fleet of vehicles is operating in accordance with legislation and regulations.
  • Have experience with the FORS standard in respect of maintaining full audit compliance. Familiarity with the FleetCheck software, or similar.
  • Communicating with Insurance Brokers and organising the appropriate insurance for Drivers and vehicles.
  • Assisting with the drafting and implementation of effective policies procedures and processes regarding fleet operations.
  • Managing strict vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimise downtime.
  • Overseeing driver behaviour and working closely with HR to address any issues.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of vehicle inspections and services.
  • Monitoring fleet costs and ensuring that they remain within budget.
