Family Group Conference Coordinator **
We are seeking several experienced Family Group Conference Coordinators to support the Children & Young Peoples Service at a Local Authority in Bootle.
The vacancy is working on a Full Time agency contract for 3-6 months with a view to extended.
Rates of pay are starting at £16 - £20 per hour which is negotiable depending on your experience.
Location - Bootle, L20.
Job Purpose:
- Plan, organise, coordinate, and facilitate initial Family Group Conferences (FGCs) and reviews for diverse families.
- Exercise independence, initiative, and expertise to coordinate meetings with families and professionals for safe child plans.
- Ensure full participation of all family members in FGCs, particularly children and young people, using various communication techniques.
- Support vulnerable adults through the FGC process.
- Adhere to safeguarding procedures by recognising and acting on safety concerns for children.
- Help families create and implement safe care plans for children within their network.
- Provide advice and consultancy to professional staff and agencies about FGCs and potential referrals.
- Train referrers, professionals, and community groups on the FGC model and information presentation.
- Collect and evaluate data from FGCs, including feedback from children, young people, family members, and professionals.
- Complete administrative tasks for initial FGCs and follow-up reviews.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of Sefton Family Group Conference Service to support vulnerable children and families.
