Role
The Finance Business Partner is a crucial role in linking the finance function with all departments . Reporting direct to the Group Financial Controller, this role is to help drive financial performance and strategic decision making.
The Finance Business Partner needs to have a commercial outlook and great interpersonal skills to build strong trusting relationships with the business.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reports to support decision-making.
- Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
- Work with department heads to develop, monitor, and review budgets.

- Identify risks and opportunities within financial forecasts and provide actionable insights.
3. Business Partnering:

Act as the primary finance contact for designated business units or departments.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans.

- Evaluate the financial impact of new business initiatives and provide recommendations.
5. Performance Management:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance.
- Conduct financial performance reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.
6. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a finance business partnering role or a similar position.
- Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
