Reed Education is looking for a dynamic MFL Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster. The role is to start immediately on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Delivering high-quality language lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels, with KS5 being an advantage.
- Creating a stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
- Preparing lesson plans, materials, and activities that align with curriculum standards.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's language department.
- Participating in school events and contributing to the school community.
- Being a role model to students, demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- Recent relevant experience of teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being an advantage.
- Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students.
- Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
