HR Advisor

Your new company
You will be working for a global retail company in Central London.

This role will operate on a hybrid working model where you will be expected to be in their London offices 2 days per week with the remaining 3 days as WFH

Your new role
You will be working as a Temporary HR Advisor for an initial 2 month period to cover until their new permanent employee starts.

Some duties will include:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations, performance management, conflict management and other ER issues, escalating to the HR Manager when necessary.
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and ensure consistent application of HR policies.
  • Draft investigation, disciplinary and grievance invite letters.
  • Support with investigation and disciplinary outcome letters.
  • Coordinate HR meetings and take meeting notes.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on the end-to-end recruitment process, from approval, job descriptions to posting the role.
  • Support with compensation and benefits administration to ensure competitive and equitable practices.
  • Respond to emails and HR queries; distribute and action as appropriate.
  • Prepare and distribute HR documents, such as employment contracts and offer letters.
  • Maintain and update employee records, both electronic and physical, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Support the administration and preparation of payroll and answering employee queries.
  • Supporting the administrative process for family friendly policies
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing reference requests including supporting employment, tenancy and mortgage requests.
  • Facilitate the offboarding process for departing employees, including IT offboarding, exit interviews and the collection of company property.
  • Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection legislation.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and employee experience.
  • Providing general administrative support to the HR team.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a HR Advisor role where you will have led on ER cases.

Ideally you will have experience working in the retail industry sector however this is not essential.

Ideally you will have experience working across the EMEA region in a HR Advisory role however, again, not essential.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a daily rate based on an annual salary of between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on previous experience.
