Aeroplane Design Approval Engineers - Senior and Junior

Posted by British Microlight Aircraft Association.

Are you an experienced airworthiness Design Approval Engineer looking for an exciting new challenge?

This is a design approval position. It does not involve designing, manufacturing or maintaining aircraft. You will be responsible for assessing and then approving applications for modifications, repairs and new aircraft types.

We are expanding our Technical Team, working on initial and ongoing aircraft airworthiness and we are recruiting at senior and junior levels. Your skills include:

  • Assessing Compliance with Design Requirements
  • Flight Load and Stress Analysis
  • Flight Test Analysis
  • Documentation Compliance
  • Final Approval of Designs, Modifications and Repairs

If you can demonstrate existing experience, you will work at a senior level and alongside major counterparts in the aero industry.

If you are new to the sector, you are educated to Honours Degree level in Aeronautical Engineering or a related aeronautical discipline.

You are well versed in aircraft design, aerodynamics, structures, loads and stressing, stability and control. Flying experience is a bonus.

You will work as part of a team alongside other engineers who have a passion for microlights and light aircraft. Training will be provided where necessary.

We offer competitive pay, 28 days holiday (plus public) and the opportunity to mix in the exciting world of recreational aviation.

If you think this sounds like you, contact BMAA CEO Rob Hughes for more details and a confidential, informal chat.

The British Microlight Aircraft Association is currently working with some of the most exciting new designs of aircraft in the UK.

If your ambition is to design, manufacture or perform maintainance on an aeroplane, this is not the position for you and your application will not be answered. Thank you.
