SEND Teaching Assistant
We are currently recruiting for An Ofsted rated 'good' school in Richmond who are looking for someone to join their friendly and supportive team as an SEND Teaching Assistant from September. As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work with children 1:1 and in small groups to support all aspects of their development alongside other members of staff. To be considered for this position as an SEND Teaching Assistant you will need to have ideally experience working with SEND children or a recent role working with pupils.
Key skills the ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
- Contribute towards a safe and stimulating learning environment
- Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
- Able to establish positive relationships with students and teachers
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people or SEND children in any capacity
- Have excellent verbal and written English skills
- Either live in Hounslow or within a commutable distance
- Be available for a September start
- You must be a flexible and adaptable individual able to deal with different situations throghout the day
