- Position: Laboratory Engineer
- Salary: £25,000
- Location: Lancing
- Hours: 37.5 hours a week between Monday and Friday (4 day week)
- 4 weeks annual leave + closed over Christmas and new year, free onsite parking, 4 day working week
We are recruiting for an Engineer with a science related degree and a strong interest in science to join a manufacturing company where you'll need previous laboratory experience or experience assembling laboratory equipment. In this role, you will work with silicon and diamond processing, ensuring a high quality, clean room environment. The ideal candidate will have previous laboratory experience and a relevant qualification in Science.
As a Laboratory Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Silicon and Diamond detector processing by using wet bench, furnaces and mask aligners
- Diamond and silicon quality inspection
- Understanding and following design drawings and processing documents
- Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy working environment
- Ensuring all parts, labour and processes progress on schedule to meet customer expectations
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
- Previous laboratory experience
- A degree in Science or equivalent (desired not essential)
