SEN - Sen Teaching Assistant

Have you experience in the Care Sector? Are you seeking an opportunity within an educational setting but feel you haven't been given the opportunity due to not having school-based experience?

If so, we may have the role for you. Our experience SEN consultant is working in partnership with a handful of SEN schools, who are open to hiring health care assistants or support workers. The consultant will be able to go over your experience with yourself and identify the transferable skills that you may not be aware of.

The suitable applicants will ideally have:

  • An established understanding and experience working amongst the care environment (children or adults).
  • Some form of involvement assisting in regular care work.
  • A valid enhanced DBS
  • Must have enthusiasm, commitment, and determination to develop student's education.
  • Versatility/open-mindfulness - as no two days are the same!

Your role will include:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups within classroom settings and the community
  • Providing care and enabling access to learning for all pupils
  • Carrying out pupil's support programmes
  • Managing the children and the classroom
  • Personal and advanced care with some students
