Group Strategic Analytics is part of Group COO which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

As a member of GSA, you will be part of the team responsible for developing tooling capabilities required to support the Risk Finance & Treasury (RFT) clientele. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong Python, Pandas and PySparx coding skills. Initiatives to be supported include those owned by the RFT Divisional Data Office and Regulatory initiatives such as Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB).

Your key responsibilities

  • Capture key Analytical Use Cases for Python based coding within the suite off Analytical tools
  • Work in accordance to an 'Agile' implementation delivery cycle, supporting continuous deployment of production capabilities
  • Deliver capabilities to empower users with better 'tools'
  • Identify critical dependencies that could impact projects, and engage with relevant counterparts to minimise delivery risk
  • Stakeholder Management & clear communication at a senior level, both with end Business Users and Information Technology

Your skills and experience

  • Experience as a Python based developer with a strong understanding of Market Risk
  • Familiar with C#, Structured Query Language, Pandas, Numpy and Sparx
  • Domain expertise in delivering Risk Analytical capabilities such as What-If, Explain and Scenario Analysis for Value at Risk and Stress Testing metrics
  • Good understanding of best practice for software development, object-oriented, programming, and relational database design principal
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
