We are seeking a Bid Writer to join the Commercial team of a large transport group. Within this role you will be contributing to the strategic goals through expert bid content development. This role is ideal for someone with experience in managing a range of tender responses, from small to large bids, and who is looking to further their career in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment where you will be working on some of the most crucial bids in the industry.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Assist in the content development of bids and proposals across planning, delivery, and post-submission phases.
  • Implement bid development processes tailored to client requirements, including responsibility matrix, style guide, and template documents.
  • Coordinate with the Graphic Design team to create compelling graphics, bid documents, and branding.
  • Develop, write, and edit bids and proposals that align with business strategy, market position, and branding.
  • Work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop compliant bid and proposal responses.
  • Review bid content to ensure high-quality and compliant submissions.
  • Support bid teams in effectively using standard bid processes.
  • Develop, write, and edit bid library documents, including case studies and key personnel CVs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have substantial relevant experience in bid writing.
  • This doesn't need to be from the transport industry but you must be able to show how your experience transfers in your CV and during interview
  • Highly articulate with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment.
  • Self-motivated with an enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business operations and a positive attitude towards a continually changing work environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internal systems.
