We require a Kitchen Porter to join our clients team in Oxford.
As the Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary team and maintaining impeccable cleanliness in the kitchen, staff canteen, and associated areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to hygiene will help deliver excellent service to all staff and visitors.
Salary: £11.44-£12.49 per hour
Location: Oxford
Hours: 8am - 4pm - any 5 days over 7 (with some evening shifts required)
Start date: ASAP
About the role:
As the Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will include:
- Washing up and clearing all kitchen areas
- Operating the dishwasher
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and safe.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations.
- Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
- Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
About you as the Kitchen Porter:
- Good level of physical fitness - not just because you're on your feet all day, but also for unloading occasional deliveries
- Ability to work alone with minimal instruction, be self-led and take initiative along with working as part of a larger team
- Good time management skills - the kitchen gets busy, so keeping on top of routine tasks whilst being able to deal with ad-hoc extra duties is essential
- Ability to communicate well across the team
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and follow instruction
