Management Accountant

We're now working closely with an international company based in Hemel Hempstead to help them find a Financial Accountant that can start with them in the coming week or so, making it a very exciting opportunity to jump straight into an amazing company who are dedicated to making the world a more sustainable, safer and healthier place.

We are ideally looking for someone to start in this position quickly to allow at least a month's handover into the role.

Ideally looking for a Qualified Financial Accountant, but very open to Part-Qualified and QBE candidates too - And any experience on SAP B1 would be a huge advantage, but not a requirement.

Our client is looking for someone on an initial 3 month temporary basis with a view to then moving into a permanent role.

This company are in fairly new offices in Hemel Hempstead, only moving into their state-of-the-art complex in the Maylands area in 2023.

The finance team all work together in the offices on a Monday, typically will come in again during the week and have 3 days working from home, working a 2/3 split weekly.

A salary of £50,000 to £55,000 is on offer for this role and on top of that you of course have the hybrid working, bonus up to 10%, good pension, 25 days + BHs which can be increased as well as a "pick your own benefits" portal too.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly management account to a WD5 deadline
  • Prepare global weekly after sales reports
  • Managing all payments out of the UK bank accounts; trade creditors, payroll and pension related costs, finance and other costs.
  • Approve weekly payment runs
  • Prepare payroll working with payroll provider
  • Prepare pension payments
  • Review Credit cards expenses & approvals on concur - new card holder applications
  • Cash flow forecast for the group
  • Take on responsibility for UK P&L and USA P&L
  • R&D tax credits financial submission preparation (1 x year)
  • Margin report for equipment
  • Liaise with external auditors as necessary

What do you need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in same/similar role.
  • Experience of an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) email and use of the Internet.
  • Experience of SAP B1 would be an advantage
