MERITUS are recruiting for 3x Cleanroom Operatives to join our client within the Aerospace industry on an initial 12 month contract to support exciting new programmes!

CLEANROOM OPERATIVE - PAYE - £13 PER HOUR - SINGLE STAGE PROCESS - IMMEDIATE TURNAROUNDS

The Cleanroom Operative will work within a controlled cleanroom environment, focusing on the assembly, inspection, and packaging of aerospace components. The role is crucial in maintaining strict cleanliness and quality standards, requiring adherence to cleanroom protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, inspect, and package aerospace components following detailed work instructions and quality standards in a cleanroom environment.
  • Use cleanroom techniques such as gloves, gowns, and masks to handle materials and components properly.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects, contamination, or damage, utilizing microscopes and magnification tools as needed.
  • Clean and maintain workstations, tools, and equipment to meet cleanroom cleanliness standards.
  • Follow strict protocols for entering and exiting the cleanroom, including proper gowning procedures and airlock use, in line with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to address any cleanliness or assembly-related issues.
  • Participate in regular cleanroom training and stay up to date with the latest procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cleanroom processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to cleanroom operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cleanroom environment, preferably in aerospace or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and contamination control practices.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small, delicate components.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and work in a cleanroom suit.
