My client is a leading independent consultancy specialising in architectural and environmental acoustics. The Acoustic Consultant position offers a unique opportunity to engage with diverse projects across rural, urban, and industrial environments in the United Kingdom. Requirements:

  • A BSc or MSc in Acoustics or related fields such as Mathematics, Physics, or Music Technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
  • Proficient knowledge of British standards including BS4142, BS5228, BS8233, and BS16283.

Duties:

  • Collaborate seamlessly with architects, developers, engineers, and construction site managers throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Conduct noise measurement assessments, sound insulation testing, and 3D noise modelling, followed by the preparation of comprehensive reports based on the findings.
  • Utilise acoustical software such as ODEON, INSUL, Soundplan, and CaDnaA.
