Shift Maintenance Technician Position Overview
My client a global manufacturing company based in Dunstable are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure scheduled services are carried out in a timely and professional manner
- Attend Breakdowns as and when they occur
- Leave machines in a safe and tidy condition
- Carry out weekly Motor Filter Cleaning and Inspection
- Carry out Fixed Wiring Testing and Repairs as required
- All paperwork is completed for each Task and signed off
- Communicate with Team Leaders and all other personnel as required
- Act as Fire Marshalls as and when required
- Adopt Safe working practices to comply with Company and General Health and Safety Rules
- Develop projects related to Machine Improvements
- Fulfil other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager
Shift Maintenance Technician Position Requirements
- Fully Qualified Electrical/Mechanical engineer
- An extensive understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience
- Welding and fabrication experience preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Able to work shifts and overtime if required
- Must be living locally to Dunstable
Shift Maintenance Technician Position Remuneration
- Salary of 34k - 38k DOE
- The working days are Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tues.
- The work is on a 2 shifts pattern with Morning and Late shift.
- Morning is from 6.00 - 2.00 PM and Late is 2.00 - 10.00 PM.
- Overtime will be on Wednesday and Thursday if there is any available will be paid at 18 pounds an hour.
