Actively seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join a leading Defence organisation based in Reading.
We are seeking an immediately available Senior Contract Manager who is a well-rounded in public procurement and complex contract management, with strong stakeholder management skills and experience with conflict/conflict resolution.
This exciting hybrid role will be supporting a well known Defence organisation in Reading on a 12 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Supplier Relationship Management framework for assigned key suppliers
- Support procurement activity through providing best practice contact advice to develop contract templates and bespoke terms.
- Leading contract negotiations
- Monitor and mitigate supplier risks
- Ensure contract control systems are robust and suitable to support all post contract commitments and satisfying the reporting/governance processes.
- Act as subject matter expert for assigned contracts, providing professional advice to enable business to effectively deliver contract objectives.
Key Requirements:
- Public procurement experience
- Experience working in a highly regulated/specialised background, e.g., bio hazard, nuclear waste (desirable)
- Complex contract experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Holds SC clearance
