Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee the shop's operations, ensuring effective management of volunteers, paid staff, premises, and stock.
- Drive sales to meet or exceed performance targets while upholding security and health and safety standards.
- Serve as the main key holder for the shop, responsible for opening, closing, and responding to emergency call-outs.
- Actively recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support the store's efficient operation and promote the charity's mission.
- Adhere to all administrative and financial procedures, including cash handling, banking, weekly reporting, and volunteer record maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation to safeguard yourself and others.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid UK driving licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
- Proven experience in general management, with a preference for retail background.
- A customer-focused approach to work, with an emphasis on responsiveness and adaptability.
- Understanding of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.
- Retail experience is a must.
