Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary), depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a range of special educational needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, in their learning and development.
  • Assist students in both classroom and community settings, helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Create an inclusive, respectful learning environment that promotes equality and positive experiences.
  • Encourage independence and support students' social and emotional development through various activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support, including personal care and physical interventions when needed.

  • Are patient, proactive, and determined to overcome learning challenges.
  • Are creative and adaptable, with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Have excellent communication skills, particularly when working with students with specific communication needs.
  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Are keen to pursue further qualifications and training, fully funded by us.
