Salary: Up to £25K per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week (hybrid working offered)

Elevation Recruitment Group - Marketing Division are excited to be working with a fantastic well-known retail brand.

We're looking for a Visual Merchandiser to join their team for up to 12 months. In this role you'll bring to life their customer focused creative vision & commercialised range builds at store level, across all formats & channels, within and outside of the core category space. You'll also support Product & Range Managers with preparation for customer range builds, internal system set up, customer SKU set up and required range led administration.

Responsibilities of a Visual Merchandiser:

  • Understand the total retailer strategy, creative vision & commercial KPIs to translate ranging strategies, inclusive of visual merchandising principles, into store level planograms, by Mission, format & channel
  • Use display planning software – Scorpion, Card Manager & CRM – to execute all cascades from Largest & Most Common range builds, with the use on system led product ranking.
  • Support with preparation for Customer Range Sign Offs, inclusive of core range & any out-posting opportunities.
  • Manage the customer POS matrix, in line with range builds, to support wider function requirements
  • Utilise Scorpion to help Product & Range Managers in the form of visual aids for internal & external sales analysis.
  • Gain internal approval from Product & Range Manager for all store level plans prior to buy & external sign off.
  • Support Trade Plan delivery in the form of visual aids, system driven range builds & administrative requirements
  • Ensure required products are uploaded & maintained in CRM, in line with Critical Date Path
  • On-going maintenance of competitor product pools in CRM & maintenance of template plans to delivery latest ranging principles
  • Maintain template plans & other planning tools to ensure they meet the latest ranging principles and have no obsolete products
  • Support retail SKU set up, with maintenance of central set up trackers.
  • Set up of Store Plan Library for all new launches to support on-going maintenance in wider functions.
  • Brokerage admin, including request of images, sending out final selections and requesting item set up sheets from publishers, completing the finished goods uploader, checking data in JDE is correct for new brokered skus, ranging skus in CRM

This is a great entry level role if you're looking to build on your retail/product centred education or if you're looking to expand your current visual merchandising experience. To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • You're educated to degree level, retail focused apprenticeship or experience within store level visual merchandising & administration
  • Commercial awareness of retail and the shopper experience to develop your decision making
  • You're skilled systems and software expertise, at ease with solving problems, identifying root causes issues and implementing solutions
  • You're organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience delivering to fixed objectives and KPIs
  • Experience managing workload & adhering to Critical Date Paths
  • Experience in using sales data to make decisions within a range build, would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Scorpion Planogram, Card Manager & CRM, would be an advantage
  • You're flexible, resourceful, agile, and resilient, whilst staying focused on objectives and targets
  • You're comfortable with insights driven decision making, data management and reporting for varying audiences
  • Previous experience of working to policies and procedures to ensure disperse groups can work consistently, to enable efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • Your understanding of influences, changes, and risks to retail, FMCG and the category, to flag needed adjustments and changes to planning, to mitigate risks and maximise sales
