We are seeking a Finance and Administration Officer for a Counselling and Therapeutic Emotional Support Service based in Leicester.

Position: Finance and Administration Officer

Location: Leicester

Hours: 30 hours per week Monday – Thursday (0.8 of FTE)

Salary: £27,600.0000 FTE (pro rata) Actual £22,080.00 (0.8 of FTE)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

As Finance and Administration Officer, you will work as a key member within the team, providing essential administrative support to all areas of service delivery. This will include providing reception cover during working hours and be the first point of contact for placement counsellors, sessional counsellors and clients. You will also be responsible for day-day financial management tasks to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

You will work in close collaboration with colleagues delivering therapeutic services, in particular the Counselling Services and the Therapeutic Emotional Support Service, including day to day administrative support to the Clinical Lead.

About You

You will be working with an organisation run for male survivors of sexual abuse and rape, you will need to be a resilient individual, with excellent communication skills, ideally with experience of liaising with vulnerable clients often with complex needs.

Other key skills needed for this role will include:

  • Professional experience in bookkeeping and financial records
  • Compiling, submitting and interpreting financial reports and preparing forecasts, cash flows and budgets
  • Experience of providing administrative support to a small sized staff team
  • Experience of direct client engagement or similar customer service
  • Experience of reception work
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain effective office systems, including diary management, completing records and IT systems

Due to the nature of the organisation a DBS Disclosure at enhanced level will be required prior to any offer of employment.
