IT Support Engineer – Belfast - Permanent – c£40,000 per annum
REED Technology are pleased to announce a collaboration with a managed service provider in Belfast that prides itself on delivering a strong, high quality service to its client base supporting companies of all sizes. Due to recent growth they are looking to add to their team with a new 1st and 3rd line support engineers on a permanent basis
Duties
- Efficient resolution of 3rd line technical issues remotely and responding to technical queries via phone and ticketing system.
- Triage of queries with effective response or escalation.
- Assist Tier 1 and 2 team
- Installation and maintenance of servers, computers, printers, firewalls and network related equipment
- Provision of IT support for clients either on site or remotely with opportunity for project management
Personal Criteria
- Personable with strong communication skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships
- Take on new things quickly with the ability to work within a team and under own initiative
- The ability to explain technical issues in everyday language with strong attention to detail
- Prioritise effectively with good organisational skills and self-motivating.
Technical Criteria
- Strong experience with Desktop support
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Windows Server incl: HyperV DNS, DHCP & Active Directory• Working knowledge of email infrastructure: Exchange & Office365• Working knowledge of Firewalls• Networking experience.
