Ali and Co are a long-standing law firm specialising in asylum and immigration law, dedicated to reuniting families and assisting individuals seeking refuge in Scotland. They serve specific communities and have built a vast network that includes thousands of clients.

Overview:

They are looking to bring on a Legal Administration Apprentice, who will have the opportunity to progress towards becoming a Legal Secretary and Office Assistant upon completing the apprenticeship with Ali & Co. The role involves providing administrative support to their solicitors and ensuring effective business administration practices in day-to-day operations.

What will I be doing?

  • Managing and directing incoming enquiries via telephone, e-mail, and visitors to the office
  • Becoming initial point of contact for the firm and channelling information to relevant stakeholders
  • Legal administrative duties, updating case files with client documentation, evidence, and correspondence, gathering pre-requisite information prior to appointments.
  • Compiling letters to clients and organising daily correspondence for posting and recording on client's cases
  • Scheduling client and solicitor's appointments, managing diary and updating attendees
  • Working on legal documentation and online legal systems for client submissions
  • Processing firm and client invoices on daily basis, drafting fee notes and submitting on relevant systems
  • Liaising with key stakeholders with specific updates and instructed actions

Salary:

£18,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
