Are you a creative and experienced Lead Designer looking for a challenging role in the water sector? Our client, a leader in engineering and construction, is seeking a Lead Designer to oversee the design aspects of projects within the Southern Water Framework. This is a key role in ensuring that all designs meet client specifications and are delivered to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for leading the design team, managing the design process, and ensuring all deliverables meet technical requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design team in the development of detailed designs for water infrastructure projects.
  • Managing the design process from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs meet project goals.
  • Reviewing and approving design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Ensuring all design deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Designer, preferably within the water or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, CAD software, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a design team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications in design, engineering, or a related field.
