Store Assistant
Based in Whitstable

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in East Kent, is looking for a new Stores Assistant to join their expanding and successful team. As the successful candidate, you would be aiding in the day to day running of the company stores department.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4.30 pm, Friday 8 am to 1 pm
Key Responsibilities for the Role of the Store Assistant
- Preparing and completing kitting procedures, whilst ensuring work areas are clean and tidy
- Inputting and reading data from the company database
- Transferring goods safely from area to area observing H&S protocols
- Overseeing the receipt of goods in the store area
- Picking / Kitting for production and Despatch
- Working within other areas of the business when required
- Complying with the Company Health and Safety policy, and adhering to all relevant Health and Safety legislation
- Carry out such other duties that may be reasonably requested
Person specifications for the role of the Stores Assistant
- Must hold experience in a store role
- Must be IT Literate
- The ability to work both accurately and quickly, whilst working within clearly defined processes
- Essential the candidate is hardworking with the ability to stay focused
- Must have good attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks over long periods
- Have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
