Our client, a Global Print Communications business is looking for a Financial/VAT Accountant to support their UK and Europe activities.
As the VAT Accountant, your focus will predominantly be to assist the VAT team, as well as provide support with financial accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Tax compliance activities UK and Europe, including the preparation, and oversight of VAT tax returns.
- Monthly VAT reconciliation.
- Provide support to Sales teams during the bid management process, assisting in the design of compliant and tax-effective cross-border supply chains.
- Customs borders and duty implications.
- Manage relationships with tax advisors worldwide.
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications needed:
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance in the UK and Europe.
- Experience in preparing VAT returns and submitting them to tax authorities.
- Proficiency in using VAT accounting software and MTD.
- Ability to analyse financial data and identify VAT-related issues.
- Dealing with UK/IE VAT queries from wider business units and tax authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
- Professional qualification would be advantageous.
