Key National Account Manager FMCG - Food Retail

Our client, a global FMCG business with more than 45,000 employees across Europe and the US, are looking to recruit an industry-specific National Account Manager to oversee their largest UK client, in addition to developing new business. Working completely remotely, this is an incredible opportunity for the perfect candidate.
Our client have over 70 production plants worldwide, and specialise primarily in chilled meats/vegetables. Firmly established in their field, they are now seeking an industry-experienced candidate to join the business and help to oversee their largest Retail account (a huge Supermarket name!), in addition to generating new opportunities throughout the UK. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Focusing on managing the commercial relationships with retailers in the UK
- Utilising experience to deliver commercial results in partnership between the business and the retailers
- Holding Profit & Loss responsibility for the private label business unit within the company's largest Retail account, working closely with them to deliver JBP's forecasts and evaluating performance at SKU level to improve commercial results where possible.
- Acting as the first point of contact for the primary Retail account, managing day-to-day enquiries, orders, finance etc.
- Working closely with the internal teams for customer service, logistics, technical & stock control, ensuring everything is delivered as planned.

In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience of an Account Management role within FMCG (preferably within chilled foods/meats)
- Proven track record of managing P+L responsibility in UK retail and wholesale market, with demonstrable ability in driving commercial growth
- Ability to work autonomously (as will be representing the whole company in the UK market)
- Knowledge of UK legislation and market
- Openness to travel to suppliers/customers on a frequent basis (also happy to travel to Europe as and when required - more specifically, once a month to Belgium HQ/Plant in Ghent Area)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel

In addition to a very competitive £85,000 basic salary, our client are also offering the following:

- 10% annual bonus
- £5,000 car allowance
