About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled KS4 Maths Teacher to join their committed and cohesive team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a maths curriculum that is accessible, engaging and tailored to meet the diverse needs of the students. Students you will be supporting will have a range of additional needs, including: speech, language and communication difficulties, autism, aspergers, SpLD, MLD and other needs. You will inspire students to develop their mathematical skills, preparing them for future success in education and beyond.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality maths lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of your students
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feel valued and supported
  • Work closely with support staff, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
  • Act as an excellent role model
  • Make full use of professional development opportunities

Who we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with specialism in Maths
  • Experience in teaching maths at KS4 level
  • Previous experience working with SEN is desirable
  • Must be passionate about helping students who find things difficult
  • Flexible, positive, proactive and a 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work well as part of a cohesive team
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum, particularly at secondary level
