Are you looking for a challenge in Transport Services? How about an exciting role managing road transport operations on a Military Estate? You'll get to be the Subject Matter Expert on Transport for the business. Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services...

As a manager, you should have proven experience in managing and influencing teams, and as a Transport Depot Manager, you should have extensive experience in fleet management. This, combined with extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant MoD regulations and experience working in a MoD and/or military environment will make you a great candidate for this role.

It probably also goes without saying, that being able to communicate with the customer and your team is also important for this role, as you will need to be able to engage with the customer as well as negotiate on behalf of the customer, in addition to being able to lead, inspire and motivate your team to meet set objectives.

And even though you're managing a team, you should be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team. You will manage and oversee the day-to-day work activities of all staff within the Transport Service depots and ensuring they are all up to date with current legislation, working practices and technological changes.

But first, meet the team...

With a 35-year contract, making soldiers' lives better is at the heart of everything we do at Aspire Defence Services.

Seriously, picture a heart (the real one) and imagine how hard it works to keep the body running, making sure every part gets exactly what it needs to thrive. That's our mission; to deliver a modern, fully serviced, flexible working environment for soldiers.

And just as the heart needs certain parts to keep the body alive, we need the dedication and commitment of our people to support our customers. We deliver a broad range of services for one-third of the British Army living and working on our patch, and we're proud of the work we do.

We're all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.

In addition to being part of our team, you'll also get...

  • Contributory Company Pension Plan matched up to 6%, plus individual life assurance
  • A shopping discounts scheme
  • Employee assistance and health and wellbeing check ins
