**Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach English to students aged 11 to 16 across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Entry Level, Functional Skills, and GCSE curricula.
  • Personalized Learning: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students, ensuring inclusive and effective learning experiences.
  • Student Development: Foster professional, nurturing, and positive relationships with students to support their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Behavior Management: Effectively manage complex and challenging behaviors with attention, appropriate communication, consistency, and flexibility.
  • Collaborative Contribution: Participate actively in decision-making processes, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities to enhance the overall educational offering.
  • Flexibility: Be prepared to provide occasional cover at other schools within the Birmingham area as needed.

**Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a valid Teacher Reference Number (TRN) are essential.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience teaching English at Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE levels.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective English lessons.
