Our client based on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet are looking for a Quality Control Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Job:
Our client is operating within the food industry and prepare and pack on site before distributing to a wide range of customers across the UK, including major supermarkets, food service businesses, and industrial clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Carrying out quality checks on all incoming deliveries.
- Recording and maintaining accurate records.
- Taking samples ensuring they maintain the high standards of quality and food safety culture.
About You:
To succeed in this role you'll be self-motivated, hard working and flexible. You will take pride in getting the job done accurately and on time to keep our business running efficiently.
You will need to have a keen eye for detail, strong organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure. You will need to be competent using IT, have a good level of written and verbal English, and basic numeracy skills.
Salary:
£13.09 per hour

Hours:
Expected hours 37.5 per week. No weekends.
2.00pm - 10.00pm until Christmas which will then change to 11.00am - 7.00pm from January.
Things to note:
Please note our client's warehouse is a chilled environment (under 5 degrees Celsius). Adequate PPE and rest breaks will be provided, however you must be fit and happy to work in this environment.
