Sun Salads Ltd (www.sunsalads.co.uk) is seeking a part-time HGV driver (Class 2, Category C) for the summer season to deliver our chilled Watercress from farm to processor.
As one of Europe's largest Watercress growers, we produce year-round from our farms in the UK and Spain, supplying national retail and food service customers.
Responsibilities
Position Details:
- Location: Start and end your day in Chichester.
- Route: Drive to Dorset, assist in loading fresh Watercress pallets, and return to Chichester for delivery to our parent company for processing.
- Season: July to October (weather-dependent).
- Schedule: Typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with flexibility and notice for changes. Minimum 8-hour shifts starting at 9:30 am, with flexible timing.
- Pay: £17 per hour, with health cover and a competitive pension included.
This role is perfect for an older, experienced driver seeking a relaxed, part-time position with a scenic drive along the south coast. Opportunities for overtime and extra work are available, including local transfers in Chichester after Watercress deliveries.
