Are you passionate about creating delicious meals and providing exceptional customer service? Our client, a renowned organisation based in Salisbury, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Chef to join their team. As an Assistant Chef you will be contributing to an amazing canteen experience for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of dishes, salads, and other food items.

Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in the canteen.

Ensure all duties are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

In the absence of the Catering Manager support in various tasks, including food ordering, menu planning, and training temporary staff.

Ensure dietary requirements and preferences of staff are considered.

Assist with internal and external catering events, from setup to breakdown.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong teamwork abilities.

Basic IT skills.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and Allergen Awareness.

Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

Flexible approach to work and duties.

Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
