Primary School Teacher Job Description:
A large, inclusive 4-form entry primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis with an immediate start.
Primary School Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum.
- Support and cater to a diverse group of learners, including those with high Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Collaborate with SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and other staff to create individualised learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to support the development of all pupils.
- Regularly assess pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet varying learning needs.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and any concerns.
Primary School Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a large teaching team in a busy school environment.
