Sellick Partnership are delighted to be assisting a Public Sector organisation with the recruitment of a Chief Accountant. This is a permanent opportunity paying £68,000 - £72,000.
Responsibilities of the Chief Accountant include:
- Leading on the technical accounting and strategy functions within the Finance Team
- Providing strategic direction, leadership and management to the delivery of the finance service
- Identify and interpret legislation, government guidance and initiatives covering the area of responsibility and assess the financial implications, risks and opportunities
- Providing strategic financial and business planning advice, along with developing financial strategies
- Prepare & manage final accounts process and production
The ideal candidate will:
- Be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA)
- Has more than 8 years' relevant experience in a simlar role
- Build excellent relationships with stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills
