Business Analyst Apprentice

Employer Description:

Link Scheme Ltd is the operator of the LINK system as set out in the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013. It works with the Payments Systems Regulator (PSR) to achieve its core objectives of promoting innovation and competition in LINK and furthering the interests of people and businesses that use LINK.

Key duties will include:

  • Documenting of current processes and activities using structured techniques.
  • Production of business process maps, procedures, and data requirements.
  • Identification of process improvement opportunities and change options.
  • Documenting of risks and controls within a change environment.
  • Updating and maintenance of the Commercial team's risk management frameworks, to ensure adherence to LINK's risk and compliance policies.
  • Working closely with the Commercial teams and other key business teams across LINK.
  • Providing accurate and comprehensive information for processes, risks, and controls.
  • Reviewing business activities, processes, procedures, and policies.

Desirable skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excel, Power Point and Word skills.
  • Viseo use is admirable but not essential
  • Business activity or process modelling/review skills.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Good Communications skills.
  • Willingness to succeed
  • Inquisitive and proactive

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 Qualification + at least 12 months of work experience* + robust onboarding plan (learner must work in the organisation for 3 months before signing up)
  • OR business-related degree eg business, finance, economics, maths, etc.
  • OR non-business-related degree + at least 6 months of work experience*
  • OR existing staff member with 2+ years of work experience**
  • Work experience relates to any valid work experience
  • *Existing staff work experience should not be in a business analyst role

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Qualifications aren't important, if you are willing to learn and have transferable skills from a different type of role then that is admirable.
