An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join a world-leading manufacturing company. With over 60 years of experience, my client's family-run business is expanding its busy team. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive attitude, good communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders, resolving any production issues to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in expediting and prioritising work orders as necessary.
  • Build routings and create BOMs (Bill of Materials) for parts to provide accurate costs and times to improve costing accuracy.
  • Maintain quality and enforce organisational standards.
  • Comply with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental frameworks and responsibilities.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned or required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on experience in a shopfloor role is ideal.
  • Proactive with a "can do" attitude and the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to "take ownership" of issues and see them through to resolution.
  • Experience with computerised MRP systems is beneficial.
  • Analytical approach to problem resolution.
  • Flexibility in approach, willingness to take on other tasks, and responsiveness to changing demands and situations.
  • Good engineering mechanical knowledge is an advantage, with training on products provided.
