Project Manager

You'll receive a competitive salary of £65,000.00-£70,000.00, 25 days holiday and hybrid working is also available. Working hours are 9am - 5.30pm

As the new Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of projects, with an emphasis on planning, allocation of tasks and monitoring the performance of the engineering team working on these projects. You'll need excellent communication skills and be an effective problem solver able to work your own initiative.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Manage project engineering activity to support the delivery of outputs in accordance with the project plan
  • Create and manage project engineering schedules
  • Collate work packages breakdown defined by project engineering team members and subject matter experts to define project backlog of tasks
  • Coordinate and track engineering activities and report status including progress, issues, risks and opportunities
  • Collate and manage Project Metrics
  • Maintain configuration control of project documentation and deliverables in collaboration with the project Configuration Manager
  • Review Project progress and metrics with both internal Management Team and Customer representatives

You'll need the following experience in your role as Project Manager:

  • Project Management within an Engineering environment, including Software Development, System Design and Build and Change Management.
  • Understanding of System & Software development processes and procedures
  • Excellent Communication skills with the ability to explain and justify intended approaches to project work
  • Ability to collaborate with the wider team and accept input from team members and stakeholder
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field and/or relevant industry experience
  • Project Management Qualification such as APM, PRINCE2, or PMI

You'll also need to be resident in the UK with the appropriate right to work status and complete a DBS check.
