Electrical Installation Lecturer

We are seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our clients' students. The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with industry experience, ready to inspire the next generation of professionals in the electrical field.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures in Electrical Installation at levels 2 and 3.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic success.
  • Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry standards and practices.
  • Conduct internal verification/quality assurance of assessments within the department.
  • Participate in curriculum development activities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering a positive learning environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training).
  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Installation (level 2+3).
  • IV/IQA qualifications.
  • Assessor Award Level 3.
  • Proven teaching experience in a relevant subject area.
  • Substantial industry experience within the electrical sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff at all levels.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
  • Familiarity with the educational establishment's operational environment.
