TSR Legal have recently been instructed by a well regarded multi office law firm based in Reading, who are looking to recruit a Head of Facilities. The position will involve overseeing the firm's office estate, ensuring maintenance and workplace suitability. You will create and implement an agreed premises strategy aligned with the firm's overall strategy, manage outsourced facilities services, and deliver the firm's environmental strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Property Management
  • Maintain a safe and secure workplace environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and stay updated on policy changes.
  • Collaborate with landlords/building management to review rent, service charges, and utility costs.
  • Regularly review business rate status to ensure appropriate payments.
  • Develop and review premises strategy with the Chief Operating Officer and key stakeholders.
  • Control utility and maintenance costs effectively to minimize unnecessary expenses.
  • Create and monitor the Facilities budget.
  • Approve invoices related to facilities services to ensure continuity.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of outsourced facilities services.
  • Review and record all contracts related to facilities services.
  • Develop management systems to minimize environmental impact.
  • Implement and review environmental policies and practices.
  • Track and report on environmental projects and sustainability obligations.
  • Update office Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs) and ensure accessibility.
  • Review new Health & Safety legislation to maintain compliance.

Our client is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager with the ability to lead and manage a team across multiple sites. To be considered for the role, our client is requiring a candidate with strong stakeholder/supplier relationship management skills, project management experience, extensive knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. experience leading various facilities projects and excellent communication skills.
