Heat Treatment Team Leader / Near Warwick / Up to £41,000 per annum

A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation is currently looking for an experienced Heat Treatment Team Leader to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a world-renowned company known for its commitment to innovation, quality, and technical excellence.

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours with a lunchtime finish on Friday.

Heat Treatment Team Leader Role:
As the Heat Treatment Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the heat treatment operations within the manufacturing department. You will ensure production schedules are met efficiently, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and resource management. Key duties include:

  • Managing production order operations, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal resource utilisation.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies within the manufacturing area.
  • Reviewing and maintaining risk assessments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Leading and motivating a team, ensuring flexibility to meet the changing demands of the business.
  • Maintaining communication boards and KPIs to drive team performance towards business targets.
  • Conducting performance reviews, offering support and direction for team development.
  • Collaborating with product teams and engineering to maximise throughput, efficiency, and quality.
  • Ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to high standards, working closely with maintenance teams.

Heat Treatment Team Leader Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production leadership, with specific experience in heat treatment or related processes. You should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving performance targets. Additional key skills and experience include:

  • Experience managing production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
  • Ability to manage maintenance requirements and liaise with external service providers.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with other shifts and departments.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
