We are on the hunt for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing technology company, based near Portsmouth. This role within a rapidly developing SME offers international exposure and the opportunity to play a part in driving growth and improving the bottom line, and contributing to the financial success of the organisation.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Raising sales invoices
- Performing month end duties including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and amortisation
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Foreign exchange processing
- Overseeing purchase ledger processes
What you will need:
- To be qualified in AAT 3/4
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Manager / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Payable Clerk
- A desire and drive to make an impact and grow and develop in the role
- Strong Excel skills, use of lookups and pivot tables, able to deal with large data sets
