Our client a well-respected and reputable legal membership organisation is currently looking for an Training Events Manager.

The Role

The focus of this role is to Lead a team to deliver the membership organisations annual programme of training events.

Manage and develop the events and training team, setting objectives, holding 1-1s, setting an example and providing support to the whole team to enable them to achieve their objectives.

To lead the team in scheduling and delivering the conferences, courses, webinars, and group meetings with overall responsibility for meeting budgetary targets, planning and organisation, and sponsorship and exhibition outcomes.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including members, experts, and speakers to understand training content and objectives, ensuring alignment with our mission, vision, and strategy.

Oversee and manage the team delivering a high-quality events programme, ensuring the level of content for training courses is met and maintained and the work with conference planning committees ensuring the development of effective and appealing programmes for the sector.

Contribute to an events and training growth plan budget, tracking and forecasting income and expenditure and taking an agile approach to ensure KPI's are met.

Aim for best-in-class delegate and speaker experiences and outcomes, ensure the training teamwork from documented processes, procedures, and ways of working both internally and externally.

Identify any gaps in events and training's products, services and customer experience journeys and work with key stakeholders to develop, test, and evaluate any new developments.

To oversee and monitor the website in relation to training activities and prompt team members where updating is necessary.

Champion the use of data and insight to better understand trends within learning and development and identify potential improvements to our proposition, the way we promote our offer, our processes, and performance.

Contribute to the improvement of our marketing strategies and tactical promotional plans for events and training.

Continuously evaluate and improve training delivery methods based on feedback, internal operational objectives, industry best practices and emerging trends.

Help our events and training optimise its digital capability and better leverage technology through effective utilisation of our website, the virtual event platforms, and our event applications.

Lead the continued improvement of our reporting capability across our training ensuring data points are established and then regularly reported on and presented effectively.

Manage resources effectively by planning and organising own work and work of the team to deliver our objectives across the entire events and training offer and additional income streams.

Use experience of content marketing, email campaigns and delegate journeys to build both a range of budgets and plans which maximises our engagement with speakers, members, experts and commercial stakeholders.

Ensure the training team build collaborative ways of working with other teams across the company at an operational level, ensuring timetables, schedules, and event plans and activities are understood and in support of the professional development and accreditation of our members.

Be an advocate and role model for events and training in a new era of growth and

performance for the team.

Any other duties deemed necessary for the post.
