School Business Support Officer

We are seeking a dedicated School Business Support Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a school office environment and proficiency in using finance software, specifically Finance 6. This role is integral to the smooth running of our school's administrative and financial operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the financial management of the school, ensuring efficiency and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage the school office effectively, providing leadership and direction to administrative staff.
- Maintaining the Single Central Register of pre-employment checks in line with Lancashire County Council procedures.
- Financial transactions using FMS6, including collecting, recording, and balancing funds for school dinners, music lessons and trips, adhering to financial procedures
- Ensure the school's resources are managed effectively, maximising value for money.
- Covering reception duties, including answering telephone and in-person enquiries and visitor sign-ins
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a school office management role.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Finance 6 software.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, financial planning, and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the school community.
