Interim Financial Accountant | Online Marketplace SaaS Start-up | 6-month FTC
The client:
Our client has carved out their own niche and is dedicated to reducing waste and increase efficiency in the supply chain for businesses globally. With their platform they are aiming to eradicate the fragmented process and volatility that have long plagued the industry. By streamlining the supply chain, they seek to increase the speed of product movement, ultimately leading to longer shelf lives and reduction in the waste. They are backed by some of the UK's most prominent investors having raised £20m in the Series A they are now in a strong position to continue scaling the business.
The Role:
We are looking for a Financial Accountant who will be a key player in enhancing the financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of transactional flows within their organization. You will be managing transactional activities across various facets of our operations, such as our proprietary marketplace software, ERP system, and banking operations. You'll also be responsible for the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, reconciliations, and driving efficiencies across the finance function. Your experience will be crucial in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities. Although starting as a fixed term contract, there is a strong chance for this to develop in a full-time permanent role thereafter.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of year end statutory reporting.
- Contributing to year end close and reconciliations.
- Develop a suite of management reports with insights and detailed analysis.
- Build and embed efficient internal processes.
- Further integrate their ERP system with
- Ad hoc project based work for the Finance Director.
Essential Skills:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- 1-3 years PQE.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A strong background in preparing Statutory Accounts.
- Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning.
- Ability to be adaptable and take on a wide range of responsibilities.
- Problem solver with an analytical mindset.
- Available Immediately or on short notice.
Bonus Skills:
- Previous experience in an SME, start-up, or scale-up.
- Experience within a SaaS or Online Marketplace business.
- Proficient user of Xero.
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 dependant on experience.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: NW London/Hybrid - 3 days per week in office.
