IP Transactions Associate

Our client, a Global law firm, is seeking an ambitious and talented Intellectual Property Associate with 1-4 years PQE to join their leading IP team. This role will involve working on a wide range of intellectually stimulating matters, with a particular focus on transactions related to intellectual property, technology, and life sciences.

You will work closely with the head of the UK life sciences practice, who has extensive experience across sectors such as life sciences, technology, energy, financial institutions, and consumer goods. The team specialises in all types of transactions involving intellectual property and regularly advises on consortium agreements, joint ventures, licensing, commercialisation, and regulatory compliance matters.

As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including consortium agreements, licensing, joint ventures, and financing arrangements.
  • Advise clients on contractual interpretation and disputes, intellectual property commercialization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work on multi-party collaborations involving industry, academia, technology transfer offices, and governments.
  • Provide guidance on healthcare, clinical trials, marketing authorization, and data privacy compliance.
  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, data monetization strategies, and complex technology transfer arrangements.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-4 years PQE with experience in intellectual property transactions.
  • Knowledge or experience in the life sciences, technology, or regulatory compliance sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients from a variety of industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and financial institutions.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering results.
