The Role
A unique and exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Tester to join a rapidly growing specialised development house based in Nottingham right nearby the border of Derbyshire - this is easily commutable from the East & West Midlands. The expectation for this role is 2 days a week of your choice in the office including flexible hours (their core hours are between 10am - 3pm).
As a Software Tester you will be responsible for a wide range of innovative projects including testing customer requirement applications from the ground up. You'll spend the majority of your time manual testing solutions and conducting backend root cause analysis through Swagger, Dynamo DB, PostGreSQL and AWS Cloud Watch. This role would suit someone coming from a strong technical background including previous bespoke software testing experience.
The application will be utilised by global clients so you will play an integral role in contributing to the growth of the business and with it being a collaborative team; you'll be working closely with key stakeholders and the QA Lead to provide extensive test coverage. You will need to be self motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.
Must Have:
- Swagger, Dynamo DB, AWS, PostGreSQL
- Tested environments within C#.
- Route cause analysis experience, using application logs and metrics to report defects and have the confidence to raise the flag at all levels.
- Strong knowledge and application of manual API testing, with tools such as Swagger
- Technical proficiency and analytical skills to comprehend complex software solutions
- Experience of functional testing web, mobile and desktop applications
Key Skills:
- Solid manual testing experience of bespoke software, including end-to-end flow creations
- A passion for solving complex problems and the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Strong communicator, working effectively in a team environment to tight deadlines
- Ability to self-organise, prioritise work accordingly and drive QA process
- Experience in the Agile / SCRUM methodology
