Junior Accountant

Our growing client is looking for a Junior Accountant who can enable effective day to day running of the finance function. This is a busy and varied position looking after various aspects of finance from purchase ledger and cash book, VAT and CIS returns as well as budgeting over a complex organisational set-up. The position will involve working in a small close-knit team with a great atmosphere. The client is a growing Cornish business, who looks after their staff and customers, valuing quality and teamwork. Main responsibilities:
- All aspects of Purchase Ledger - transactional processing of invoices, manage and control invoices held in query.
- All aspects of Cash Bank - transactional processing payments and receipts including fund transactions, bank reconciliations for the numerous companies.
- Help to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledgers for multiple companies
- Assisting with some aspects of month end reporting
- Preparing BACs payments
- Assisting with budgets/ forecasting for overheads and sites.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ideally a working knowledge of VAT, Purchase Ledger.
- Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger (Accounts Payable Experience)
- Keen eye for detail.

This job is based in a lovely office, with good transport links available and free parking. Flexibility around start and finish times is available but this is a full time role at 37.5 hours per week.
