Quality Assurance Inspector

Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and meticulous Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in West Sussex. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and integrity of incoming materials and products through thorough inspections, detailed reporting, and effective use of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of quality, environmental stewardship, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management Systems: Uphold the company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and ISO 45001 Health and Safety management systems.

Material Inspections: Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, manage dispositioning, and process transactions on the ERP system.

First Article Inspections: Conduct first article inspections and compile comprehensive FAI reports.

Non-Conformance Reports: Process and submit Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), collaborating with internal teams and the supply chain to resolve issues.

Audits: Execute internal audits, manage findings and responses, and support supplier audits and follow-ups.

Reporting and KPIs: Maintain and update Quality department reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify potential quality issues and support initiatives to improve product performance and processes.

Corrective Actions: Initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Engineering Request Notes (ERN) based on analytical findings.

Continuous Improvement: Support company Continuous Improvement initiatives and maintain 5S standards.

Materials Review: Participate in Materials Review Boards and process MRB findings.

Education/Experience Required:

Quality Background: Experience in Quality Assurance with familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO14001 management systems and environmental regulations.

Component Knowledge: Knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components preferred.

IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database usage. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is advantageous.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with all levels of the company.

Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and a proactive, "hands-on" approach to tasks.

Team Player: An effective team player with a commitment to quality and excellence.
